Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control and Indomitable Spirit are the foundations on which Taekwon-do is built and here in the Dojang ( training hall) in Carrick on Suir and through the whole of the R.I.T.A family and the I.T.F , these Tenets can give us ALL an inner feeling of success and achievement and a knowledge that we are part of something worthwhile, truthful and honest and also instill in us the capability of being able to defend ourselves or others if the need ever would arise.
A school which has been established for over 11 Years, Carrick on Suir R.I.T.A has gained respect within the Republic of Ireland Taekwon-do Association and the International Taekwon-do Federation and has competed and won awards on both an international and national level.
As one of the biggest R.I.T.A Schools in Ireland, Carrick on Suir trains in the Pure form of the art , as created and passed down by the Father of Taekwondo, General Choi Hong Hi 9th degree Grandmaster and continues to follow the teachings and beliefs of this great and honoured man.
Led and and trained by Instructor Mr Paul Tobin 3rd Degree Black Belt, whom with his belief and love of the Art,has nurtured the School from strength to strength over its years, and has through Mr Tobins dedication, trained many White belt novice children to become Black belt adults and has made Taekwon-do a part of their life's that will stay with them forever.
The Carrick on Suir Taekwon-do School is always ready to open it doors to NEW members. regardless of age. race. creed or culture and will continue to welcome everyone who wishes to learn, not only the art of self defense but also some of lives other great virtues that are held close in the hearts of all those who study and believe the Tenets of Taekwon-do.
