Carrick on Suir in House Competition 2009
Carrick on Suir Taekwon-do School recently hosted the first ever Competition in the new Dojang situated on the North Quay. Starting at ten in the Morning the day was a great success with most of the Carrick Students taking part as well as some students from Fethard and also from Miss Audrey Condons Taekwon-do School in Kilmacow. The competition was ran in a format similar to the Open competitions held by the R.I.T.A, however  Mr Tobin decided to  add a twist and had all higher grade colour and black belts compete in both the Patterns and sparring sections against each other.
A second twist was added to this as the competitors were judged not only on their pattern for their particular grade, but were then both asked to do a second pattern as suggested by a member of the "audience".

Well done to all of Mr Tobins Black Belts who turned out in force to  Umpire and Judge the competition. Though ran in a serious fashion, fun was had by all and we look forward to having another one in the near future
